I cannot recommend Erin Armstrong at Plume Salon enough! When I found Erin, I was searching for someone who could help me with my hair after years of dyeing it blonde every 4-6 weeks, which really took a toll on its health and texture. Erin was exactly who I needed. In my first appointment with Erin, she spent dedicated time listening to me about my desires and visions for my hair, and together we developed a plan to achieve a more natural, healthy, and manageable hairstyle that fits into my busy lifestyle. Erin guided me through the transition from blonde to my natural darker color, ensuring it remained bright and vibrant. She also introduced me to the Pura Luxe smoothing treatments, which have been such a game-changer for me! Previously, my hair only looked good when blow dried and styled. Now, I have the option to shower and let my hair air-dry, while still achieving a smooth, beautiful texture without the hassle. As a frequent traveler and someone with a busy lifestyle, I now have low maintenance but still beautiful and healthy hair. I’m so grateful for the freedom and confidence Erin has given me! On top of her amazing skills, Erin has the warmest, most inviting personality. She’s become a friend, and Plume Salon feels like a safe space where Erin’s genuine care for her clients shines through. Plume is an absolute diamond of a spot. I cant stop thanking my lucky stars that I found it. I was searching for an alternative to the cult followed, Brazilian blowout, which had started to wreak havoc on my hair after several years of cooking the heck out of it with keratin and chemicals. I learned about PuraLux, a natural alternative, online and saw that Plume did the service. The owner and my stylist, Erin worked with her schedule to get me in since I was going to be away on vacation. The salon is absolutely beautiful and evokes a bohemian, accessible, sexy and friendly vibe. It is clear that not only is Erin a master of her craft, but someone who really values bringing out the natural beauty and her clients. A lot of salons will gate keep so to speak when it comes to how to upkeep ones hair blow dry you name it, but not plume - they even run WORKSHOPS for clients. My hair feels great. I loved hanging out with Erin for the morning. I am so excited to be her new client.

I have been going to Erin for over nearly 15 years. Backstory - I come from 5 generations of hair stylists so I grew up making my hair (and it’s health) a priority. From the first day I met Erin, she and I had an instant connection both personally and professionally. Her skill and dedication and passion for her craft is what makes her, hands down, one of the best hair stylists of all time. I have watched her evolve and grow in her industry and the fact that she is constantly seeking out the best products as well as making my hair (and all her clients’ hair) look amazing is testament to her dedication. I can’t think of a single better stylist who takes all their clients’ hair health and beauty as a personal mission - Erin is the absolute best. I cannot say enough amazing things about her.

This is going to sound over the top but you MUST experience this salon. It is a soulful, beautiful, cozy little slice of Gold. If you want classic head turning movie star hair this is best salon in Austin (no question). It’s one of the only salons I know I’ll leave with hair that I LOVE! Im leaving this raving review because I know how hard finding a hair stylist can be. Even harder to find hair stylists that are masters who really care. Erin and Kayleigh both have a magic touch, and leave my hair so healthy and pretty after highlights (how?!?! I don’t know haha). The salon also has so much love and a special atmosphere. Everywhere you look there’s some beautiful piece of art, a vintage adornment, 70’s inspired golden fixtures etc. highly recommend.
