If I could rate them higher, I would. Sarah from the Back Bay location is amazing and a perfect colorist. I really appreciated how everyone spoke to me (no pun intended). Everyone was super genuine and helpful, yet still friendly and knowledgeable. I got exactly the color and cut I wanted but I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me on anyone, or talk to me in a forced, "customer service" voice. Bella did my cut and it was exactly what I asked for. She even offered complimentary refreshes/retouches on my bangs which I think is EXTREMELY helpful (and will prevent me from asking my non professional friends to upkeep my bangs). This location is very convenient in Back Bay and the studio itself is clean, bright and beautiful. Thank you both so so much! (Adding pics)

Been struggling to find hair salons that understand what I want my hair color to look like until I found spoke & weal. Elyse is truly amazing! I’ve gone twice and left satisfied every time. Also appreciate how there’s one price for “custom color” that usually doesn’t change regardless of what you want to do (unless it takes too long apparently, which mine never has). Not cheap but overall reasonable prices for Boston and very high quality results. They’re surprisingly very adept with Asian hair (and very dark hair)!

I love Spoke and Weal. I was a loyal customer in NYC. I recently moved to Boston and needed an appointment asap but couldn’t find a time. I went somewhere else (not Spoke and Weal) and yikes - they absolutely butchered the cut and color. I came in a few weeks later to Spoke and Weal and Elyse saved me! Gabby even cleaned up my hair cut. Everyone was so kind and clearly passionate about what they do. So relieved to have found them!

WOW!!! BELLA RAY is absolutely amazing! I’ve been living in the city and going to overpriced salons for 10+ years and she is by far the best in the city. I have had many services done (custom color, cut, extensions, keratin) and each one has been phenomenal. I specifically want to mention Sara, she is INCREDIBLY talented and has become a dear friend.
