This salon and the stylists make you feel right at home. The decor, the music, and of course, the salon pup, all put me at ease while I got my haircut by Jessi. Jessi took her time evaluating and discussing my desired cut all before taking me over to the wash bowl. I had A LOT of hair and she patiently and painstakingly went through and removed so much weight and dead ends from my hair while still maintaining the length. Truly shag sorcery! She specializes in shag cuts, which is what I wanted and received. When she revealed my cut (I hadn't looked in the mirror during the whole appointment) I got actual CHILLS. I looked like a new, cooler me. Couldn't be happier with how me and my hair were treated!

I love Exhibit!!! Been going here for a few years now. The vibes are always warm and fun, the music is dope, the rotating art is a delight, and I always look and *feel* better after a visit. Cut and color are incredibly affordable with gratuity included —that means your stylist is being compensated fairly! Plus Mags the owner does occasional pay-what-you-can days because they understand artist/freelance life in NYC. My hair is gray in the front, but you’d never know it! the vivid colors they use are the best for my hair and last a long time.

Mags is the best!! I’ve been seeing them for two-ish years now and am planning to keep going to them as long as they’re doing hair. They are not only incredibly talented, but they are amazing at creating a welcoming and safe environment which has allowed me to try out some fun hair choices I would have been too nervous to try otherwise. The shop as a whole is beautiful and very fun and they have the cutest little dog 💜

Had a great haircut here with Mags who listened carefully to my request and checked in throughout the cut to ensure it was what I wanted. Fun relaxed environment and all the stylists are so nice. Feels like a chill hangout every time I’m there. Plus rotating art shows on the wall. Perfect spot for folks looking for an unpretentious salon environment.
