Emily at Goldust is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. She treats every appointment (big chop, bangs trim, and everything in between) as her priority. She takes time to sit eye-level, face-to-face and hear your ideas, needs, hopes for your hair at the beginning of every appointment instead of only chatting through the mirror while already ruffling your hair. She is fun, personable, and deeply kind. She made my bob and bangs dream into my signature style. At the end, she reviews product recommendations (though she doesn’t sell any herself, which feels like a nice way to remain impartial), styling tips, and makes sure you leave feeling thrilled with your hair and confident in how to keep it looking it’s best. While on the expensive end, the pricing is incredibly transparent and fair—and supporting her and her business is an easy yes for me.

I could not recommend getting a haircut from Chelsea enough. She knows curly hair, listens to her clients, and is happy to be there. I always feel my most beautiful when I have a haircut by her. Her talent is not cheap, but it is so worth it!! I have lots of wavy hair and always get a razor cut. I see Chelsea at Goldust Studios. I’ve had a long layered style with curtain-y bangs, which I loved! My hair looked really healthy and moved so nice whether I styled it or not. She also gave me a curly consultation and taught me some techniques to wear it natural. Really activated my “waves” into curls. Then this summer she gave me a big chop, sort of a long pixie/mini bob look and I loved it! I had a couple of different inspo pics and she created a style that was even better than I imagined! Could not recommend her enough!

Goldust is one of the most warm and inviting salons I’ve had the pleasure of checking out. It’s cozy, beautifully decorated, and everyone I’ve met in the salon is so kind and genuine. I had my make up done by Kelly for a Photoshoot and she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She did a beautiful job on giving me enough coverage without feeling heavy. She was funny and gave a thorough consultation. I had my hair done by Chelsea and shes always so attentive and provides so much knowledge about hair health and longevity for my curls. I haven’t had a service from Emily, the owner, but she is so professional and asked if I needed anything while I waited. Great vibes, great music, 11/10.

I’ve been going to Kelly at Goldust for about eight years, and there’s truly no one I trust more with my hair. She’s the only stylist I feel completely confident turning to for big makeovers—whether it’s going from long to short, brown to blonde, or trying out anything in between. She always understands the vision and brings it to life beautifully. On top of her talent, Kelly has a way of making you feel totally comfortable in her chair. She’s warm, easy to talk to, and always on time, which I really appreciate. If you want someone who’s skilled, reliable, and genuinely cares about her clients, Kelly is the one. I can’t recommend her enough!

Goldust is the best. I met Kelly through a friend during a time I was growing my hair long. As a dude, a hair salon was never on my radar. However, it’s now one of my favorite places to spend time. Everyone who works here is a wonderful, warm and just fun to be around. The salon itself is as warm as the lovely folx who work there. I see Kelly for a cut and color 2/3x per year. She quite literally turned me into a hair model (check the website). I get complimented on it constantly. Most importantly people are consistently surprised that this perfect head of California surf hair blonde isn’t natural.

She listens carefully to what I want, gives honest suggestions, and never pushes something that I am not sure about.
