Lorens is the first EVER curly hair specialist that actually looked me directly in the eye and really listened to me before touching my hair. I arrived at the appointment with my hair the way I like it. She was non-judgmental about the amount of work I wanted to spend styling my hair in a regular basis. She confirmed what my goal was, then said it back to me just to be sure. Then we agreed on how to get to my goal. Only then did she pick up her shears. She dry trimmed my hair, washed it and explained the products she applied. She diffused my hair and I was delighted with the results. It was the first time I left a salon and didn't immediately try to change how my hair looked in the car! I feel like I have a partner in my curly hair journey. Do hesitate.. book now. Headline: Better haircut than I could have dreamed. I cannot say enough good things about Lorens, my haircut and my experience. I was the classic curly hair kid who spent 20 years straightening it, then at 30 had no idea what to do with it. My hair was very long, curly and heavy. Lorens asked me a lot of questions about lifestyle and goals, and I felt comfortable being honest that I didn’t want 12 products or to style daily, and she didn’t want that for me either. I think she really marries being a great stylist with being a great listener and teacher. I can genuinely say that a few weeks into having this haircut, I can make it look as good as it did leaving the salon, and isn’t that everyone’s goal? Seriously one of the most talented people when it comes to cutting curly hair! She’s friendly and so knowledgeable and I always leaving with my hair looking so good. I feel like she really listens to you and that it’s a judgement free zone. Curly hair is all so different but she always gets the cut right and knows how to change things based on your. Absolutely LOVE Loren’s! Truly KNOWS and understands curly hair. I’ve never been to a stylist that cuts my hair while it’s curly or even a truly curl stylist. It makes so much sense! Update: Lorens did my wedding hair and it was beautiful, exactly what I wanted. She is a master of her craft! Lorens is a wonderful stylist and teacher! She started by asking lots of questions and listening carefully to my history with my hair and what I want moving forward, then delivered exactly what I wanted while teaching me how to do it myself. I’ll definitely be back, and she’ll also be doing my wedding hair!
