If like me, for any reason you’re hesitating to schedule with Hali at Soleil, this is your sign. Do it! You won’t regret it. I was hesitant after a couple of experiences where I didn't feel heard. I felt like my best interest wasn’t in mind. My only regret is that I didn’t schedule sooner. From the moment I walked in, until the moment I left… I am telling you I’ve never felt so heard and cared for when it comes to my hair. Hali understood exactly where I was and exactly where I wanted to be. After incorporating her recommended products, including new brushes (Which she does not sell. She is not making money off of me buying these products. You order them on your own. I think it’s important to mention that. She gets no monetary benefit from her recommendations.) I already notice a huge difference in the feel of my hair and I’ve just received them today and used them the first time. Hali is a lovely, welcoming, caring, talented, magician of a human. Hali is the first stylist I've gone to that offers an extra long first appointment that includes time for a consult to discuss what you're looking for in a cut/style and what you like/don't like about your hair/haircut. It also allows her time to learn about your hair before she starts cutting. During this process, she explained things about my hair that other stylists haven't been able to. I've never felt more seen by a stylist. She's now been cutting my hair for 3 months (3 cuts) and is the most consistent stylist I've ever had. Every cut is the same as the one before and every cut is an affirming experience. I highly recommend Hali for anyone who needs a gender affirming cut in an affirming setting.

I can’t say enough how in love I am with my new cut. I wanted early 2000s Hilary Duff meets the razor cut we used to do in the bathroom mirror at 1am…but polished and grown up. That’s EXACTLY what I walked out with. Aside from just being a fun person to interact with in general, Hali was super easy to work with and really understood what I was after- she asked the right questions to narrow in what I like/dislike, and gave me the professional input I was there for. She really took what I was envisioning for myself and turned it up about 1000%! Also, she’ll nerd out on products with you so you understand what you’re using to style with and why. You should definitely go here!

Had such a wonderful first cut with Hali! She is so knowledgeable about hair with the sweetest presence. I came in after some years of meh hair, wanting to better understand how to work + add life to my v fine wavy hair. She absolutely delivered. I’m a data nerd and she was able to meet me there - educating me on everything from hair structure, the role of ph balance, all natural products that really work with my hair, to hair cutting strategies and the impact they have. I left with my first set of bangs as an adult && feeling much more aligned for a natural love for my natural hair. She’s who everyone’s talking about for a reason. Update: I’ve been seeing Hali for 7+ years. She’s a magician and I’ll never see anyone else as long as I can help it. Bonus is she always nails the bang trims, her puppies are adorable, and the Pink Palace is right next to DQ. - Hali is the best! At this point I’m so comfortable with her and her services I can just walk in and say “I don’t know, what do you think?” and whatever haircut I walk out with is perfect. She’s queen of the shag, of the chair conversation, of the perfect salon vibe. You won’t regret a cut from Hali!

I have struggled to find somewhere i feel comfortable and confident but after getting a cut by Hali today, i’ll never go anywhere else. I often get pretty nervous in social situations but Hali was so understanding and made me so comfortable, we talked the whole time! She is such a genuine, kind, and beautiful human being. Its a bonus that she is genuinely a pro with hair. I feel beautiful. Truly a one in a million experience. Can’t wait for my next haircut ✨💗
