Laurie is hands down the best hairstylist in NYC! I was looking for someone who could help me transition to my natural color from blonde (I had highlights/balayage for about 10 years) and I’m so happy I was recommended Laurie at Looks and Lovers. She did a thorough assessment of my hair, explained the process in details, and really took her time to make me feel comfortable and listened to. She worked with the shape and texture of my hair which minimized maintenance in the long run; she also taught me how to properly style my hair which is pretty thick and I’ve always struggled with it. I cannot recommend her enough!

Laurie is an amazing stylist and really nice person. She gets my textured hair and even though I have long hair, gets the job done efficiently! Her prices are very fair and no matter the treatment or style, I always leave feeling refreshed & satisfied. I don’t have to go back too often because the cuts and color grows out so well.
