I'm an independent hairstylist in NYC and have been working out of ManeSpace since March 2022. Before this, I worked at some salons in NYC but never felt like it was really working for me. Finding ManeSpace completely changed how I feel about running my business. As a Flex member, I'm able to book a fully set up, plug-and-play workspace on demand. That flexibility gives me total control over my schedule and my business, without having to work inside a salon environment that mixes commission and rentals, or commit to a fixed space. Being a new Mom this flexibility allows me to design a schedule that is just right for me. The space is impeccably managed, always clean, and thoughtfully designed. The staff is attentive, the community is made up entirely of independent stylists and everyone is incredibly friendly, and it creates an elevated experience. My clients notice the difference immediately. It feels more intentional, calmer, and more focused than a typical salon environment. It truly feels like a smarter, more modern alternative to renting a chair inside a traditional salon. Switching to ManeSpace was one of the best decisions I've made for my career.

You don’t have to be part of a traditional salon environment, but it’s really nice having friends around — people you can pop in and say hi to — while still having your own private room and personal space. Arturo, the owner, has made it feel so homey and thoughtfully designed. His taste and style are incredible. Every time someone comes in, they can’t stop talking about how unique and adorable the space is. Booking online is extremely easy, and there’s almost always a room available. Whether you’re booking far in advance or last minute, I’ve never had an issue. Arturo and the team are also super easy to get in touch with — if you need anything on the fly, they’re always there to help.

I am bicoastal between LA and NYC. I travel to NYC every 10-12 weeks and I rent a space with mane space for 3 days and I book around 15-25 people each visit. It’s been now over 2 years and I truly have no complaints. For 1 the space is so beautiful, my clients love it. Then the booking is always so easy and accommodating. Then you have the staff. The owner is a gem. Super kind but also a cool guy. He pops in here and there when I’m there and always is so warm and welcoming.. The girls that take care of the floors are all so kind and on top of their jobs. They make sure I always have towels and capes ready to go and they keep the seating area so clean and comfortable for the guest. I love this place and I will keep renting for as long as I’m traveling back and fourth!

The space is beautifully built — Arturo did an incredible job with the design, and his attention to detail truly shows in every corner. It’s always clean, well maintained, and feels elevated without being overdone. My clients constantly compliment the Chelsea vibe — modern, creative, and welcoming all at once. My clients appreciate the convenient location and they love the vibe of the communal space as well as the privacy of my studio.
