David has a sixth sense when it comes to styling, and is extremely intuitive around design and artistry. David and the salon are warm, welcoming, and much more fun than fussy. David has the rare perfect blend of a high-end, luxury salon experience that feels approachable and not intimidating. I trust David implicitly around what works best for me, and am always delighted. Beyond trusting her with my hair, Megan is a friend I share life updates with and who always makes me laugh. I love and respect her honesty, and I adore how genuinely she cares. I’ve been going to Meg for nearly 10 years, following her through every salon move, and now she has her own salon. When I sit in her chair, I never have to think, she just knows. Her haircuts look amazing the day of, months later, and grow out perfectly every time. Everyone in her salon is warm and welcoming, and the vibe and energy are unmatched. I booked a custom blonding with Bri (who I found on TikTok) and she absolutely nailed it. I showed her some inspo and asked for a lived in, Cali blonde look. The color feels natural & effortless, sun kissed without looking "done", which is exactly what I was going for. She's super talented, very CHILL, and most importantly, listens to what you want. For anyone who's bicoastal - she has a studio in Orange County and still services clients out there as well! The salon itself, Pearlita, is gorgeous. Tastefully designed and has a great energy! Stylists give VERY good blowouts (trained by the owner).

David has been cutting and coloring my hair for a few years now, and I can confidently say he is the absolute best of the best! Like quite possibly actually magical--some sort of hair wizard ✨✨ My curls/waves are always refreshed and more defined after a cut, and he's an expert at creating texture. Every time I go in, I feel heard and like he gets the vision, whether it's a shag cut or dying my hair bright orange. He asks thoughtful questions, is super chill to chat with, and is just an awesome human. 10/10 recommend!!

Pearlita is a total gem of a salon space. Megan has been cutting my hair for years now, and I will never let anyone else do it. I’ve followed her to multiple locations, even continuing to see her after I moved out of state! Her dry cuts look chic and beautiful, but also natural and lived in. My haircuts with her even grow out incredibly well months later. Megan is so kind and sweet and welcoming too —you won’t regret spending time with her or any of the stylists at Pearlita!

She listened to EXACTLY what I asked for my color services. She is a true talent. I also ended up getting a cut which I am very pleased with as well. I will never go to anyone else in the NYC area except for Bri.
