As someone who usually does my own color at home, I'm SO glad I remembered Homecoming as a place that had been recommended to me for great color when I managed to screw my hair up to an embarrassing extent during an already stressful and awful week. I booked in for a consult using their online platform on Friday night, and got a text from Bri within an hour to chat about my color before I went to meet her the next morning. She was calm, kind (even in the face of my egregious f-up), and transparent about her process and the pricing. She got me in as soon as she could, and when I went back later in the week to receive my services, everything went better than I could have hoped. Bri is incredibly talented and, very importantly, incredibly patient -- it took her about six hours to fix my errors, including bonding treatments, test strands, precision bleaching, toning and glossing. During that time I chatted with several of the other salon employees and customers, and everyone really was so nice and friendly -- it made spending hours in a chair covered in chemicals surprisingly delightful. Bri worked miracles, returning me to several shades lighter than my hair was before my toner accident, and I left happier with my hair color than I've been in a very long time. Thanks to Bri for lifting my mood during a really shitty week; I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for great and very reasonably priced color services in NYC, not just other people who make bad mistakes at home ;)

Bri did an amazing job with my color. It was my first time doing any kind of color process, so she walked me through options that would maintain the health of my hair as well as how to manage it post care. She was fantastic at interpreting the color I described and worked with me on my ideal placement. I ended up with a beautifully blended warm chocolate highlight that I’m obsessed with! Going into my appointment, I was extremely nervous about whether the highlight would suit me and if I’d like it, but Bri absolutely nailed the color and gave me the perfect highlights to accent my natural hair. Love her! So glad I trusted her with my vision and found a color specialist I can keep going back to in NYC!

My experience started with a really friendly welcoming from Rae ( who is an absolute joyy to be around).I was quickly sent over for my haircut with Blaire. I was a little unsure about where I wanted to take my haircut and I feel like Blaire really tailored the haircut to my face and took their time to absorb my essence and style to be able to give me exactly what I wanted. I went over and Cara who took everything to the next level. Cara is a magician with color! My hair had old black dye in it and I wanted some blonde…impossible? Not for Cara! I can’t stop admiring my own hair! Thank you!!

Mallory is great! As somebody with curly hair who has had trouble in the past finding a stylist to cut my hair, Mallory listens and understands what I ask for and executes perfectly every time! She takes her time and is attentive during the entire process. Homecoming, as a salon in general, is an extremely pleasant environment, and everyone that works there is super friendly and helpful. I’ve been going here for at least a year now and have always walked out extremely happy with my experience and, most importantly, my haircut!

Mallory is the best hairdresser I’ve ever had in the city. First time l’ve found someone who genuinely listens to what I’m looking for and will work with inspiration images but adjust/ offer insight on what will work best with my texture. The space is lovely too and I always look forward to going to the salon. Can’t recommend enough :)
